The Water Board Rijn en IJssel ensures clean and sufficient water as well as dry feet behind the dikes in its management area, covering large parts of Gelderland and Overijssel. Through dike reinforcement projects, we ensure that the dikes continue to protect us against high water in the future. Within these projects, the Water Board organizes information and participation meetings to involve and inform the community. But how are these experiences perceived? And what valuable insights can be provided to the project team?
Anonymous participant feedback
To gather this information, the dike reinforcement projects Den Elterweg Zutphen and Pannerdense Waard – Westervoort utilize the Smiley Touch by Four Smileys. With the Smiley Touch, participants have the opportunity to share their experiences anonymously immediately after the meeting. "Afterwards, visitors can choose from four smileys: bright green (very positive), light green (positive), light red (negative), and bright red (very negative). They can also answer short questions and provide additional comments.
Insight into visitor experience
With the Smiley Touch, participants' experiences during meetings can be read out via an app or online. This creates an impression of the visitors' experience, providing the project team with anonymous feedback.
"This feedback is certainly valuable for evaluating meetings. It provides new insights for next time," says Milou de Kleijn, communication advisor at Water Board Rijn & IJssel.
FourSmileys' Smiley Touch is the perfect way to gather this feedback. Our products are a prime example of how technology can be used to promote citizen participation and transparency in projects. The possibilities are endless, and the products are suitable for various purposes. Feel free to inquire about the possibilities of FourSmileys for your organization.
